HAYLEY’S UPDATE - 8 WEEKS ON 💪🏽 Let’s not soften the start. Hayley survived four years of calculated cruelty. Not an accident. Not ignorance. Someone planned her prison, built it, locked her in it and walked away every single day! And yet, eight weeks ago, when she was finally released, something remarkable happened. She didn’t come out angry. She didn’t come out broken. She came out loving. Hayley has shown nothing but trust and affection towards people. Big humans. Small humans. All of them. Despite everything, she decided we were still worth believing in. That alone tells you exactly who she is. Now for the real Hayley. She’s a giant, goofy potato seal. A solid unit with a soft soul. She adores love. Not just likes it, worships it. Belly rubs are currency. Cuddles are mandatory. She will lean her entire body weight into you like she’s afraid the affection might disappear if she doesn’t hold on tight. She’s leash trained. Scooter trained. Toilet trained. Sleeps through the night like a champion. Loves toys, but plot twist, she prefers kids’ toys over dog toys. She’s gentle, silly, affectionate and completely obsessed with her people. Hayley is currently in a foster home and doing brilliantly. But foster is the pit stop. Not the finish line. What she needs now is her forever home. Safety. Good food. Consistency. Love in bucket loads. The kind of home where she never has to wonder if she’s disposable again. Despite the hell she came from, Hayley has forgiven humans, forgotten her past and is ready for her future. She’s done her part. Now it’s our turn to do ours.
