Eras

The rescues — The moment a dog comes out: off a chain, out of a cage, off the street. Most arrive malnourished, injured or terrified of people, and most were kept as status dogs and dumped when the novelty wore off.
Recovery & rehabilitation — The unglamorous middle: the clinic, the drips and the blood transfusions, the mange and tick fever, the months of patient work before a frightened dog can trust a hand again.
Adopted — The point of all of it — dogs leaving for homes in Bali and abroad. Over 1,040 of the 1,100+ rescued have been rehomed.
Waiting for a home — The dogs still at the centre. Bullies are the hardest to place in Bali: they carry the worst reputation and most shelters will not take them at all.
Life at the centre — Bali’s first purpose-built bully rescue centre, opened in 2021 and home to up to 30 dogs at a time. The daily routine of feeding, cleaning, training and play.
Karin, the team & fosters — Karin Karner, an Austrian designer who moved to Bali and started taking in the dogs nobody else would, and the small team, fosters and volunteers around her.
Appeals & fundraising — A rescue with no structural funding runs on donations, sponsorships and appeals. The vet bills for a single emergency can cost more than a month of food for the whole centre.

2020 — Nova — from terrified to super affectionate. Nova was rescued when she was just 10 month old. She was kept on a 50 cm chain, no shelter, no food, no water. Her previous owner abused her badly. Nova was terrified of humans. (Pitbull mix · 7 years · Female · 30 kg)
2020 — Nova — a very special soul. Nova had several fosters but never was lucky enough to find her forever home. She is currently at our shelter. Nova is honestly the most amazing girl and deserves the world. Nova would do great with a family with kids what love to play and cuddle. She is our queen and our biggest wish for her is to finally find her castle.
2020-08-22 — Bali Bully Rescue. Karin Karner's own film about the rescue, posted in August 2020 — two years in, when every dog still passed through her house and the centre at Tabanan did not exist yet.
2020-09-26 — Help save the pitbulls in Bali. A fundraising appeal for Bali Bully Rescue from September 2020, made while Karin was still running the rescue out of her own home. Its argument is the one the rescue keeps making: it's not the breed, it's the owner.
2021-03-04 — Woman loves saving stray dogs in Bali. A March 2021 feature on Karin's work with Bali's stray and discarded dogs, made the year the purpose-built rescue centre opened.
2022 — Leah — she can't see but she moves like she can. Leah is still with us. She is the sweetest and most gentle soul. She absolutely lives for belly rubs and love but as well still has her playful moments. Leah is at our center and would be an absolute perfect match for a calm home and a senior couple. The home shouldn't have a pool. Please note that Leah is blind but moves around like a dog that can see but still I would prefer no pool just in case.

2022-10-23 — ❌HE NEEDS OUR HELP ❌. ❌ I would like to rescue this poor young doberman today. He needs to have a life and get out of his hell.his owner already agreed to surrender. My problem is still the same like before. We have no space until our second part of the rescue center is finished, what will take maximum another 3 weeks. So here is what's needed so I can help him... I need to fund his s basic medical care and boarding for 3 weeks 😓 I still have 4 dogs in boarding what's already financial crushing us,specially after the loss of our BBR iG page. so in order to help this baby I need to make sure I can cover his needs. 2022-10-24 — PRINCE 💔 JUST RESCUED 😭. 😭 thank you to everyone who committed to help this morning. PRINCE is now save at central vet 🙏 Once again we have been just in time to safe a poor soul. PRINCE is just 7 month old , his condition is alarming. He is very malnourished and weighs just 13 kg ( minum of 20 kg underweight) , his body temperature is 37 degrees so to low, he is dehydrated so will stay on IV at the clinic for a few days, his white blood cells are 4 times to high what shows us he has a internal infection ( no visible wounds) , he is blood parasites positive, thanx god his heartworm test is negative...aswell we discovered some ringworm. You are safe now my sweet boy and I promise you we will do everything to make sure you become the DOBI you should have been all along ❤🙏

2022-11-02 — DANTE ❤ Owner surrender 🙏. 🙏 welcome under my wing big boy about 2 month ago DANTE'S owner contacted me in IG and begged me to take on his pit bull as he wasn't able to take care of him any longer. Because we had no space I couldn't take him immediately but promised I will as soon I can and our rescue center is done. His owner didn't want his dog to go anywhere else, he was to worried and didn't trust anyone besides me so he agreed to wait. As many of you know our IG got hacked 3,5 weeks ago . With the loss of our IG I lost as well the contact of him. I got totally blocked by the hackers from my page and have no access to any followers of mine atm ( it's all a absolute nightmare) . The last 3,5 weeks i have been thinking very often about this boy, I have been as well very worried about his future. I knew his owner needed to give him up and time was ticking. This morning I got tagged in a post in a local pit bull group. I nearly didn't open it as I definitely didn't plan to take in another dog. Our financial situation is critical right now. We lost a big part of our support net with our IG. ... so when I opened the post I saw DANTE.Thanx God I did. He has been posted for free and many jumped on it. I immediately contacted his owner, what has been in tears of relief when he picked up his phone. He told me tons of locals contacted him. Some even admitted they want to have DANTE for fighting, breeding and who knows what else... 1 hour later I picked my new very big baby boy up. I kept my promise ❤🙏 DANTE will need blood works done, he needs to be sterilized, vaccinated, dewormed... His basic vet care is 350 $ . could you please help me? after the clinic he needs to go to boarding until we are ready for him. 2022-11-03 — DANTE ❤ welcome to BBR my big baby 🥰. 🥰 it has been a lil bit of a boarding coordination disaster . My plan has been to bring JERRY to us today because his boarding fees ending today and DANTE to the dog hotel as I have a left over of 3 weeks there from JAYAH. .. but yesterday I got LUNA back from foster what had aswell nowhere to go. One of my friends offered to sponsor her boarding for one month at Yunakennel Kerobokan . So well DANTE has been very scared at confused at the vet, I didn't had the heart to put him into boarding so I changed all plans last minute 😅 JERRY stayed at yunakennel and I use the funds for LUNA to pay for it. LUNA goes to the dog hotel to use the rest of JAYAH'S boarding and DANTE is now with us to settle and decompress 😅 I have been just able to raise 15 $ for his vet care what left me with a open bill from 340 $ . I don't think he could believe to see me standing in front of him. After a short serious talk 😉 he agreed to give her back and opened the cage where she has been locked up. i have been close to tears to see her in a cage and her happiness when she realized mommy came once again to her rescue.... so a lil reminder DO NOT MESS WITH ONE OF MY BABIES . they mean the world to me and I will never give up on them 🙏

2022-12-16 — CHLOE 💔 JUST RESCUED 😭. 😭 omg it seams like am having a run. So after leaving the clinic early this morning to drop of MILOU, around 300 m from the vet I saw this lil girl laying lifeless next to the road. Of course i immediately stopped my bike ,picked her up to rush her aswell to the clinic. I saw she has been bleeding out of her nose and mouth and half of her face is very swollen what makes it difficult for her to breathe. Back at the clinic we did x rays and it showed she has a fracture on her maxilla bone. This injury is most likely not from being hit from a bike or car it's most likely from a vicious human what kicked this poor lil baby very hard. Besides of this very bad injury CHLOE has scabies and a pyoderma skin infection. I am still waiting for the results of blood tests atm.she is just a lil baby what for sure got dumped. If this wouldn't be cruel enough she aswell got kicked and seriously injured by a heartless cruel person. It's absolutely heart breaking what this 2 month old girl had to experience in such young age. 2022-12-17 — ❤ MILOU & CHLOE ❤. ❤ vet update : Good morning Ibu, we would like to update you about your dogs at clinic. *CHLOE * has good appetite this morning, poo and pee normal, mostly quiet in the cage, we still keep her with iv drips and begin to treat the blood parasite because she already eat this morning. *MILOU* this morning begin to eat by herself with chicken liver, he refuse to eat recovery food. We already start to give oral medicine. So far there's no vomit but poo still diarrhea. We also do fecal test and found many worm eggs. We apologize for the late update. Cupcake is a female bully dog, age around 5 years old. She is not skinny, but has hair loss and has no hair around her neck. Her body temperature, heart rate, and respiration rate are normal. Her teeth has thick plaque and make her mouth smells bad.Both of her eyes has discharges around it.Her left eye has cloudy part on the lens and it might be permanent. Her vision is good on both eyes so far.Her CBC result shows low platelet. We continue with blood parasites test and she is positive with ehrlichia canis.From her skin sample, we found fungal and yeast but not much. Has she been chained before ibu?The biochemistry result is good. We would like to update you about Milou and Chloe's condition today. 1. Milou. this morning she has good appetite, no vomiting, and still had diarrhea but no more blood. We still keep her with IV fluid to observe her condition. 2. Chloe, this morning she started to eating by herself with recovery wet food, pee normal, no poo yet. She still mostly laying down at the cage, but when we try to give her food she still responsive. We still keep her with IV drips and give her the medicine through via IV also. Thank you 🙏🏻
2022-12-21 — MILOU ❤ — this morning I got informed that my lil baby lost her apatite.. She still got watery poop and the color is very dark what is a sign that her small intestine is injured. We did another parvo test and the line is now very light. So my suspicion was she is still battling worms. So we did another fecal test and found hook worm eggs. Hook worms are very dangerous and as well far more difficult to get rid of than other worms. My lil princess doesn't get a break... As she didn't wanna eat I ask the clinic to get backed chicken for her. Itt mostly works even with dogs what lost their appetite and I am very happy to tell you, MILOU loves it as well and ate it 🙏 Stay strong my lil fighter you have a amazing life in front of you. Keep fighting it's worth it ❤🙏

So well TARA is their sister. I didn't know until yesterday that the owner of the pups kept her. Now 1 year old he couldn't afford to feed her anymore .of course i have been very worried where she will end up if I don't jump in,I am so great full to all of you guys for helping me to get her... I need to say TARA is in top condition. All her blood tests are good and she has no blood parasites. I am pretty surprised as her siblings had them all. About 5 min after the post has been up my inboxes on all my channels went crazy. I got around 50 people messaging me about this boy.when I looked at it I knew I need to step in . Since around 3 years the Cane Corso became a fashion dog in bali, since then my biggest fear has been one of this dogs get into wrong hands.The post said MARQUEZ needs to be rehomed this week. What we need monthly : 210 kg raw chicken -price per kg 2,5 $ per kg = 525$ 240 kg dry food - price per bag 59 $ per 15 kg=944$ 100 kg rice - price per 25 kg 25 $ = 100 $ this is just for our dogs without special diet. We got 4 allergy dogs each is 300 $ per month, 2 dogs with kidney problems each cost 150 $ per month, 2 with extremely sensitive stomach 200 $ per dogs, 1 what can't digest food without supplement. The meds he needs is 180 $ per month... To be honest he has been through a lot the last 2:weeks and I hesitated to show you what was happening. I needed to wait to know he will be fine before I do this post... ODIN came to me about 2 weeks ago with a massive tumor on his penis. At first we thought it's TVT but after a closer look Dr kadek realized it's another kind of tumor.A sample has been sent to the lab to find out what kind we are dealing with.we received the results a few days ago and there are good news as it isn't a aggressive cancer and the risk of spreading is very low. The tumors have been so big that Dr kadek needed to remove ODINS entire penis. Yes I know that's pretty shocking, but please trust me in my decision as ODIN will have still a great life in front of him. he just has to pee like a girl now 😉 unfortunately his healing period doesn't go like planned because some of the skin went nefrotik. Dr Kadek had to remove the death tissue so new can grow. Of course this will take all time and lots of care. Right now his wound is open... After over 2 weeks at the clinic, what's never good for the mental state of a dog I decided today to move him to us . Rica my right hand will continue his wound care. ODIN will be her first priority . I believe fresh air, lots of love and sunshine will help him to heal quicker. of course ODIN'S surgery and his long clinic stay don't come without a cost. He has barely muscles so I suspect he has been cramped in a tiny cage his entire life and got beaten badly. GRINGO has been bought in jakarta with just 4 weeks old, this alone is so wrong! After just 4 weeks his owners situation changed and he couldn't take care of him any longer ( that's what I have been told 🤦🏾‍♀️) so as a tiny baby he got chained outside, next to a, road and a trashcan, along a wall without any shelter.i have absolutely no more words, this all makes me so angry and speechless. GRINGO is just a baby, what a heartless start at life 💔 So well he is mine now, he will never be forgotten again, never have to sleep on a hard floor again and will be showered with love 🙏 GRINGO needs urgently bloodworks , blood parasites test and a heartworm test after being chained outside for 5 month. She is skinny the body score is 2/5. We did generally checked up on her already. Her body temperature is normal 38,6, her mucosa gum is normal, her heart rate and respiration is normal also. She has hyperpigmentation on both of the elbow, alopecia on her both back leg and has some wound on her left hind leg. We also noticed she has blood discharge from her vagina and her vagina also looks swollen, we suspected she still on heat at the moment. We checked her ears, both inside of ears is dirty, there is a lot of dirt in her ears. Her walk is still normal and her appetite is good also. Blood parasites test result is she has positive blood parasite (erlichia canis and anaplasma). We will add the antibiotics doxy to treat this infection. , here we send the hematology result, muffin has low level of hemoglobin, other parameter is normal. We will add sangobion also for supplementation. we just noticed muffin is coughing. Here we send Muffin's biochemistry blood test result. Her ALB is decreased this is can be cause she's skinny and malnutrition. So, we will add albumin to help her ALB increasing. ❤let's build you up my lil princess your new life is starting today ❤

My heart always stops when I see ad's like this so I went immediately on a mission. Yesterday my friend and driver Surya Bal went for a 3 hours drive, one way ,to get her. NIA is still pretty young but had already several litters. Many of her puppies died so she has been no more use to her previous owner. She is now safe at central vet. As she is still shaking in fear when she gets touched my vet and I decided to let her settle first before we start with her medical check ups. 2023-08-04 — NIA 💔. 💔 VET REPORT : Siang ibu. We would like to update you regarding Nia's examination result. She is around 3-4 years old. Her body temperature, respiration, and heart rate is good. She came with many ticks and loss hair all over her body. She is a bit skinny but overall looks ok. We notice also that she scratch her body sometimes.Her teeth is good, just a bit of plaque and tartar.When we check, her genital area a bit swelling and we also notice she has sticky discharges from there.We did ultrasound to confirm and she is not pregnant. We only found both the uterus looks bigger, start of pyometra,needs urgently surgery. Her hematology test result also shows that white blood cell a but elevated and slight anemia.So yes, we highly suspect for pyometra (reproduction tract infection). The biochemistry test result is still good. 2023-08-21 — NICAU ❤ just RESCUED 🙏. 🙏 this beautiful boy has been left by his owner about 2 years ago and has been living on the beach in Amed ever since. I saw many posts about him following people home, it' was very clear he has been searching for stability and comfort. Every time I ask if he needs to be rescued I got told he doesn't as the community is taking care of him. So well at least no one seamed to be bothered but aswell no one thought it's a good idea to give him a loving home. NICAU was the dog of no one and everyone it seemed. With the tourists returning after covid more complains about this very big boy emerged. Hotel owners started to chase him away, people started to throw rocks on him and NICAU became more and more skittish. He started to loose trust, started to get scared of the bali dog packs on the beach as they attacked him. I couldn't watch this poor boy any longer as I knew soon or later something bad will happen to him so I ignored everyone what told me he is safe as he clearly wasn't safe anymore. He clearly needed someone really cares about him and take him of the beach. All this people what told me how much they liked him didn't bother to give him a home, yes he got fed but we all know that's not enough specially for a doberman.the needed love, stability and a safe place.it took me 3 weeks to get this boy. The first time we tried he rum of as soon he saw a leash and wasn't seen for 2 days. So I ask my friend Skyler and BAWA to help to get him. Skyler knows NICAU and is one of the few people he still trusted in Amed. Thanx to her we could catch and secure him. You can't believe how many sleepless nights I had about this boy. Constantly worried something could happen to him. This ended now NICAU is finally safe with us and I can see how happy and realxed he is now, no more looking over his shoulder, no more fear to get chased away. He has now the safe place he actually needed all along ❤🙏 NICAU still needs his general vet check ups, bloodworks need to be done and he needs his vaccines. 2023-09-26 — BUBBA 💔 just RESCUED 😓. 😓 this unbelievable sweet, beautiful and kind big boy has been thrown away like a piece of trash. He is maybe 2-3 years old and as you can see in the video he has massive issues with his back legs what's most likely the reason why he got dumped. X rays showed us that BUBBA has hip displasia on both sides and a nerve problem at his spinal what's the reason for his paralyzed back legs. his blood tests came all out good what's a very positive surprise. we will run more tests and I will update tmw after we have a more clear understanding about his condition and treatment plan.

2023-09-29 — KOA & MIU 💔 just RESCUED 😓. 😓 a couple of days ago I have been ask to rescue a lil puppy, what has been the rant of a liter of 10 and no one wanted her. All her siblings have been taken and this lil one was the last. When I went to the house I discovered a very poor living mom what didn't leave her cage since minimum 2 years. Her eyes nearly killed me as they screamed for help. So after a short conversation with the owners they agreed to give me the mom aswell. I couldn't take them immediately because we are still super full and overwhelmed, I needed to talk to my team first to see if we can squeeze them in. Like always we made it happen and this morning I went to get them. MIU the lil one has been kept seperate from her mom since weeks, she didn't get any mother's milk what would have been specially for her very important. As KOA has still milk this willl end today and her lil daughter will finally get what she needs to get stronger. To see this lil boy so hopeless, his sad face really got to me. I knew he needs us so of we went to get him. LENNOX had straight away his medical check ups, he is very underweight and blood tests showed he has 2 kind of blood parasites. His nails have been extremely long as he never got walked, he has no muzzles. 2023-10-30 — ZEUS ❤ new RESCUE 😓. 😓 this just 9 month old baby has been tied to a tree in the middle of nowhere on Saturday night. Sunday morning I got asked if I could help him.honestly how could I not? We immediately went to the location to rescue this baby. I have of course no idea what happened with him, like with all dumped dogs but what I do know is that he belonged to someone who has beaten him badly . Every time ZEUS gets touched he starts shaking for the first moments and makes himself as small as possible. I am actually always happy for dogs like ZEUS when they get dumped and I am able to rescue them, it's often the only way to escape their cruel owners. ZEUS is still at the clinic for his complete check ups and will join us tmw at BBR where my team will show him what it means to be loved and treated gently. 2023-10-31 — LENNOX ❤ needed surgery on both knees 😓. 😓 after LENNOX has been with us for a few days we realized that he is sometimes limping and walking strange so I sent him to the clinic for X- RAYS where we realized that he has a problem on both knees and is in pain. he needed immediately surgery. VET REPORT : Hello ibu, We would like to update about Lennox examination. Dr. Kadek directly check Lennox's legs when he arrive at clinic. From dr. Kadek examination, both of Lenox's Patella has problems. The left patella is wobbling. Left and right patella have problem medial patella luxation with grade 2 but the right leg already starts to grade 3 as well. With This problem dr. Kadek suggested to do surgery patella luxation for both of the legs with the estimation is 10mil rupiah/1000 AUD ,including hospital cost and blood test cost. LENNOX had his surgery already 5 days ago , he had to stay at the clinic for 4 days post surgery and is now back with us where he can recover in peace surrounded from love and care. For the next 2 weeks he will have strict kennel rest, the following 2 weeks he is allowed to do controlled walks for 15 min, another 2 weeks after that 30 min controlled walks 30 min per day and after that we can slowly increase his movements. According to the people around he got dumped. I am still a bit confused as he looks very healthy and is even castrated. On the other hand nothing is surprising me anymore here. I had far too many cases like this.After hearing about him I couldn't help it, I needed to get him of the road before the wrong people pick him up. So well my plan to downsize a bit went officially down the drain 🤭 we still will wait for 1 week if someone claims him. 2023-11-29 — MAXI aka PURI ❤. ❤ welcome back my baby boy 😓 our sweet 1 year old boy Puri, now called MAXI has been adopted around 6 month ago when he still was a baby. Now 6 months later he has been returned for being a puppy 🤦🏾‍♀️ I always tell people that pups are hard work that need lots of attention and are nothing for lazy people. Young dogs need daily big walks and need to be occupied otherwise they will get bored and destructive . This is exactly what happened with MAXI. as his exercises haven't been enough as well my advice has been ignored he started to eat flowers in the garden, destroyed and few things ( whats pretty normal for a pup. I got currently 2 1 year old boys at my house and yes to some stuff I had to say good buy but I work through it with my boys 🤭😅 ) . Instead of listening to me, or at least work with my dog behaviorist @rhondalepsch , what is the best on the island and could have solved these issues in 1 session MAXI has been returned to us. Honestly sometimes I am out of words. He is the most amazing, kindest and sweetest boy that loves all people , cats and of course other dogs.. so well my beautiful baby boy,we will find you someone really understands and deserves you , 🙏❤😉

This is a very painful injury and unfortunately very common for our favorite breed. Usually I would post before surgery to get help to pay the bill but I have been very sick the last 2 weeks so I couldn't really work much on my computer to raise funds. I couldn't leave my boy in pain either until I was better so of course he had immediate surgery and spent the last 10 days at the clinic . JAYAH is a very active pup so I thought it's better to let him rest at the clinic.... Tmw he will come back to us to continue is recovery. unfortunately this kind of surgery is pretty expensive and cost us 1100 $ and pushed my vet account to be frozen again. The last attempt by her owners to use her once again as money machine hasn't been successful so they decided she isn't worth their attention or being fed and CAILY got chained at their backyard hold in total isolation. CAILY is in heartbreaking condition,. She is malnourished, dehydrated, has blood parasites ( tick disease), a chronic fungus infection and demotex,her eyes and ears are infected aswell. Karin noticed a small pregnant dog scavenging on the side of a busy road on the way to take her daughter to school. As dog lovers (and rescuers), we know most street dogs, but it was clear this little lady was new and unfamiliar with her surroundings. It was confirmed with the shop owners that she had been dumped several days prior. Missy, as we have come to call her, was left heavily pregnant without food, water, or protection from the elements - a cruel act by a heartless human. Karin, like us, has limited space at her centre, which caters to large-breed dogs (mostly bully breeds). With no spare kennels, she was unsure what to do. Together, we rescued Missy, knowing we had one space left for a dog in need. Missy is the fourth mother we have accommodated in just four weeks. The not so good news is that the plate seemed to irritate and hurt him and needed to be removed. What has been done immediately . 2024-04-24 — NANA 💔 EMERGENCY RESCUE 🚨 PLEASE DONATE 🚨. 🚨 yesterday we had to rescue this beautiful girl from a chain, which cut deep into her neck and left her with a deep infected wound filled with maggots. When the report came in I knew we need to be fast as the maggots could reach her trachea or her jugular vein. ... after she saw the vet he confirmed that my worry was right and we rescued NANA at last minute. Unfortunately this isn't the only serious issue our sweet girl is facing as she is as well heartworm positive. The only good news is that it's still a very early infection that makes it easier to help her.... NANA will need lots of help and has to stay minimum 1 week at the clinic . We really need you ❤🙏 VET REPORT :Good evening ibu. We already checked Nana. She is a female, age around 3 years old. She is also on heat (loop) when she arrives here and the genital area is swelling. She has many ticks on her body and a big infected wound on her neck. One of her nails is broken because it's too long. The wound itself has several small holes that are filled with maggots.The skin around the wound is also irritated because it constantly wet from the wounds discharges. We already shave that area and clean it as well. Her CBC test shows high white blood cell parameters which are caused by the infected wound on her neck. She also has slight anemia, and can be from the ticks infestation. Her biochemistry test shows normal for kidney and liver parameters are normal. . Good thing it that the wound not affecting her trachea or esophagus.The main wound is not affceting the vital part but one of the holes where she got the maggots is close to her jugular vein. So far we didn't see any excessive bleeding so we hope it is not affected by it. 2024-04-26 — GENJI ❤ NEW RESCUE 🙏. 🙏 this beautiful boy has been dumped and was lucky enough to be found by a very kind group of people. They immediately secured him and kept GENJI safe until I could get him ❤🙏 GENJI is around 7-8 years old . He is a small very kind, gentle and affectionate boy. A real gem.we have actually no room for him or NANA right now but like often I couldn't get myself to refuse a sweet soul, so I took him anyways and will work it out somehow. my biggest wish of course would be an immediate forever home for him. I hate to bounce dogs around especially at that age... VET REPORT :hello ibu, we would like to update you about Genji. he is maybe around 7- 8 years and not sterile yet. he has bad tar tar on his teeth. and has some lesion on his skin that we check turn out have fungal infection. blood test show mild infection and the rest was good. we did blood parasite test for him, the result positive for anaplasma and e.canis. We noticed that his walk also look weird, so we did x-ray. it show that he has OA on his hip and also spondylosis start to form on the spin. We can maintain with injection once per month. hello ibu, we would like to update you that genji already finished surgery. the surgery/ sterilization went well, we also removed many of his none cancerous tumors small and big. we already did dental scalling, and found that 2 of his teeth were rotten and needed to be removed. I am currently sick in bed so a bit slow with updates... GENJI had surgery yesterday... the good news is that the kind group of people who took care of him at start already donated 400 USD torwards his vet bill. 2024-06-07 — GIO 💔 just RESCUED 😓. 😓 I really needed a big cry and time to pull myself together before I did this post. GIO is a about 3-4 years old Bulldog what has been clearly neglected for far to long. His lil body is covered in hundreds of ticks and wounds. When we picked him up I nearly had a breakdown seeing his poor condition. His owner thought it was a good idea to cover his entire body in motor oil to kill the ticks. The pain and smell must be unbearable for this lil guy. When we arrived at the clinic we had to wash him 5 times in order to get rid of the bike oil. Despite all of his suffering GIO is still wagging his tail 😓 GIO has severe anemia and basically no more red blood cells but is still eating what's, indeed a miracle.his blood counts are so bad that we probably will need a blood transfusion. As he is still eating we will try first to get him better with all kinds of supplements first to increase his red blood cells. This gives us time to find a suitable blood donor for him. 3 people including myself have been picking ticks of him for 1,5 hours. He isn't strong enough for any kind of oral tick meds so we are using a tick collar for now to get rid of the rest. His ears are badly infected and have been completely covered in dirt. His eyes are infected and cloudy right now what's for sure coming from the motor oil 🤬 GIO has 3 kinds of blood parasites ( e-canis, anablasma, barbesia) . The only good news right now is that his organs are all in good condition . Our lil sweetheart will have to stay at the clinic for quite some time so we can make sure he gets all the professional help he deserves. 2024-06-09 — KIRA & LOLA 💔 JUST RESCUED 😓. 😓 they have been dumped in the middle of the night so we went to their rescue as fast as we could. both girls are incredibly sweet but in heartbreaking condition and we will need your help so we can help them.I know it's a never ending story here 💔 VET REPORT : KIRA *Hematology* is showing that the Lymphocyte is quite low. But the white blood cells are still in the normal range. Red blood cell, haemoglobin, Hematocrit and platelets are low quite significant and mean she has has anemia also the gum quite pale as well. *Blood Parasite* positive with Ehrlicia canis and anaplasma as well *Biochemistry Full Profile* also good, only the albumin low because of the malnutrion and blood parasite infection. we planned to give medicated wash tmw, her skin has a bacterial infection due the ticks infectionl. We also planned to give iron supplement, albumin supplement and start antibiotic for the blood parasites and give Nextguard. For the tvt, we need another blood test in 5 - 7 days and see how the red blood cell before chemotherapy. She will need around 6 sessions of chemo. He went to the vet for another check up and after that straight to his forever home, where a family of 7 have been waiting for him ❤❤❤❤❤❤❤ GIO' S progress is incredible but he is still in recovery and needs another month for sure until he is 100 % back to health. His blood tests are great considering what state he has been in just 1 month ago but he is still a bit anemic. As Well his eyes will need more time to heal... over the next 6 weeks we will schedule every 2 weeks a vet house visit for further treatments and to monitor his progress 🙏❤ GIO is really a lil gem, he is funny, extremely affectionate and loving and it makes me unbelievable happy that he has now a family what will give him the life he should have had all along. 2024-07-16 — MIMO 💔 JUST RESCUED 🤬. 🤬 Yesterday afternoon a friend of mine spotted this lil frenchie on the road . First she didn't even want to contact me because she knows we have absolutely no room atm but on the other hand she knew there was no other way and she sent the first video to me with the caption : I know you can't but I needed to let you know. Btw dog has an owner... of course you all can imagine my reaction after seeing this poor dog. I immediately called her and asked if she could try to get the dog surrendered and I would take him of course. MIMO is now safe at the clinic under my wing. He is in extremely bad condition. His gums are pure white because of anemia. He has nearly no more red blood cells left, what is caused by 2 kinds of blood parasites. His kidney counts are up ,what is hopefully just because of malnutrition and dehydration and he is blind on one eye. TREATMENT PLAN: Hi ibu. I discuss with drh Kadek already. Dr Kadek said lets observe first for 3-5 days. We keep with the iv drip and erythropoieyin injection and also need to consider blood transfussion. Later on day 5 we do CBC + biochemistry pre anesthetic to see the progress. We can discuss about his next plan later after we see the 2nd test result. 2024-07-21 — MIMO ❤ IS ADOPTED 🎉🎉🎉. 🎉🎉🎉 I promised you all a very happy update and here it is 🙏 our lil boy MIMO is another miracle dog indeed. We did his second blood tests yesterday and all results are better than we could have hoped for. His red blood cells increase enough that I am happy to announce that MIMO is no longer in need of a blood transfusion. His kidney counts are back to normal and his SDMA test shows as well progress. His nr went from 41 down to 30 , what is great news. Still it's not all fantastic because there is definitely a kidney problem but it can be maintained with supplements and renal food. The even better news is that our lil boy went from the clinic straight to his new home, where an excited new dad and a kind four legged brother have been waiting for him. once arrived MIMO understood very quick he is safe and that's his new family. He went from super scared to a happy lil boy in a short time of 30 min 😍 I am over the moon about all of this and unbelievably happy that MIMO now can continue his treatment and recovery in a loving home ❤🙏

2024-09-14 — BONZO 💔 NEW RESCUE 🤦‍♀️. 🤦‍♀️ another dumped ,traumatised , hopeless boy who needed our help. It's absolutely crazy lately and difficult to hold up. We have dogs coming in from all sides but none going out 😢 BONZO has been so scared that we needed to blow dart him in order to secure him.it took me 5 days until I could touch him. He just shivered in a corner in his kennel at the clinic for the first days. BONZO had already all his vet check ups and has been sterilized. He had quite some wounds and was a bit skinny but nothing really serious.with him his mental state was at first the bigger worry. after 5 days at the clinic he joined us at BBR and as soon he arrived he opened slowly up and gained his smile back. At the same time I need to make clear this DOES NOT APPLY FOR POTENTIAL ADOPTERS AND FOSTERS, 🙏 let me explain our current situation please. we have currently far more dogs than we are actually allowed to have at our shelter. When visitors are coming and walk through our rescue center our dogs are of course excited and will bark and everyone in our area will know that there are a lot of big dogs. We currently have 40 very big dogs there and are officially allowed to have just 15 big dogs. Of course we always have more than that but our dogs don't bark so it's easy as long no one gets disturbed at our surrounding area. right now we are extremely over capacity and I simply can't take the risk of 40 , 40 kg dogs barking. It's loud and our whole Banjar is shaking if they do. It's also too difficult to control for my team.we had our last group a couple of days ago and after that my team begged me to close our doors until we have less dogs and I need to respect their wish. As well our girl JOYA will return tmw and she is not allowed to get excited or move too much. Visitors mean excitement, we can't avoid it. So during JOYAS recovery we need to keep everything quite in order to get our girl 100 ℅ recovered 🙏 I really hope you all understand my current concerns ❤🙏 ONCE AGAIN THIS DOES NOT APPLY TO ADOPTERS AND FOSTERS. and here is why... usually adopters want to meet specific dogs and we can bring them outside for a meeting. Today I got informed that she can leave the clinic and I really wanted to check her out. Her clinic stay has been long enough. Despite how over capacity we are right now at the center I decided to bring her in and put her in one of our quarantine kennels. I am not a fan of using them for a normal stay because our so called medical kennels, are far smaller than our usual once what are 20m2 big, whilst the quarantine kennels are just 7m2. But so well I didn't had another choice than occupying this last spot as well. AZURA is tiny so I think it's ok for now and for sure better than stuck at the clinic 🙏

We would like to update about The New dog Ares. Ares is Male, around 7-8 month old, not castration yet. Temperature is 38,8. Gum color is pink pale. Heart rate and respiratory rate are normal. During examination he has diarrhea with blood. We took a sample for the fecal test and found bacterial champylobacter, Hook worms and toxocara canis worm egg. We also do antigen test of parvovirus and the result is negative. No found any skin problem on his skin. He is very skinny ,has just 9kg and is extremely malnourished and dehydrated. He is eating well with the recovery wet food mixed chicken liver. We also did a CBC test and found he has anemia with platelets low. His blood parasites test is e-canis positive. We already started giving deworming tablets, iron supplement and immune boosters, doxi for his blood parasites for ARES. 2024-11-06 — RIO ❤ is FOSTERED 😍. 😍 I actually never thought I would be able to do a foster post for our bling boy RIO. No one ever asked for him or was willing to give this gentle big boy a chance. RIO spend the first 5 years in a tiny cage where he couldn't even move and the following 3 years with us. I always wished for him that one day a kind person is willing to give him a real chance at life and he will living in a real home but i have to admit that I gave up hope lately that this will ever happen. So well once again I learned to never give up. One of my adopters contacted me on Saturday and asked me if she could meet blind RIO . Monday they met and today gentle RIO moved to his new home. My adopter already has a female rescue Doberman from us..., we decided to take it very slowly with RIO. He needs to adapt first to his new environment before he can be more closely introduced to his new sister. RIO never has been living with another dog so we need to let him adapt slowly to this very new situation. I need to say it went great today and I have big hopes that it will work with time. My adopter is fantastic and will give him all the time he needs. If all goes well RIO will have a forever home.step per step. For now I am just incredibly happy that he finally gets a real chance 🙏❤

The only purpose she had for her previous owner was making him money until he got bored of her. DAISY has been advertised in a local group with the following text... Breeding dog is looking for a new boss she can work for 🤬 Maybe you can imagine how my blood started boiling when I got this advertising sent to me. Of course there was no way I would let this girl continue to live a life of absolute neglect , with the only purpose to get one Liter after the next... our new tiny sweetheart is now safe at the clinic to get the vet care she needs. 2025-02-15 — RICA ❤Welcome back my senior girl 🥲. 🥲 I have a few sad posts to do and this is one of them. RICA our 11 year old senior is back with us and here is why... A few days ago I got a message from her previous foster, she had our girl for the last 2 years, she told me she gave RICA to someone else. You can imagine that this info alone made me pretty uneasy and angry. I asked for the contact from the person who had her and I didn't even know. Once I had the nr I contacted the guy and had a video call. Honestly during this call my feelings haven't been good at all and some of my red flags went off but I still couldn't say what it is. Because we had tons of things going on the last months behind the scenes I thought at first I am maybe too sensitive or over careful once again so I decided to monitor first. But yes there was something in my stomach that told me there is something not quite right. After that the big storm hit bali and I was slightly distracted and didn't check in for a couple of days, stupid me. When I checked in again and asked for updates I always got pictures and videos from our 11 year old girl outside in the garden never inside so I asked the guy and he told me he doesn't like dogs inside the house. My heart started to go faster immediately and I asked my next question... WAS SHE OUTSIDE DURING THE BIG STORM???!!! and now comes his answer... YES OF COURSE SHE WAS, I DON'T ALLOW HER TO COME INSIDE THE HOUSE. so let me get this straight now, this bastard left an 11 year old senior dog, what never was an outside dog her entire life, outside in his garden during the biggest 3 days storm bali saw in decades. We had a cyclone blowing over the island, the heaviest rain, flooding etc etc. I have lived on this island for 16 years and never saw something even close to what we experienced last week . You can't even imagine how fast my heart went when I received this answer. For everyone thinking this is ok, go to hell, because it's not ok for me and , it's not ok for my rescues for sure. Of course we immediately went to this heartless person's house and secured our girl 💔

LEXIE and ROXY were adopted 2 years ago by a friend of mine and had the best life I could wish for them. they where already 7 years old when they got adopted. A few weeks ago my friend passed away and our girls lost not just a very loving mom , they aswell lost their home and had once more nowhere to go. This whole situation is truly heartbreaking and all we could do is to get our now 9 year old senior sisters back to us 💔 I am completely heartbroken about it all of course and can just hope that we can at least find this 2 sweet staffy girls and new retirement home asap 🥲
2025-03-06 — COCO ❤ NEW RESCUE 🙏. 🙏 welcome under my wing my lil girl It took my days to be able to do this post ,I was so angry that I needed to wait as all I had to say about this rescue would have probably got me banned on all my social media accounts .. .. COCO is just 1,5 half years old and has been bought from a breeder by westerns. After just a short period of time they decided to leave Bali and COCO had nowhere to go. Because she wasn't sterilized my fear was of course very big that she could end up as a breeding Machine, so I took her in. COCO went straight to the clinic after I took her to be sterilized and is now with us at the center 🙏 To all this western idiots come to Bali and think it's cool to buy from breeders here, you are the biggest problem, you are the ones that are adding to the suffering, you are the ones who are supporting this cruel trade and you are actually the biggest enemy of breed dogs here. Bali is drowning in dogs, most of these breed dogs end up in cages or on chains. The worst part of it all is that many of you don't even stay here and your purchased dogs are becoming my problem. My rescue was built to help cage and chain dogs and not to help you idiots out . You make your problems to mine because I care most likely more about your unwanted dogs then you ever have or will ‼️‼️‼️ welcome under my wing lil sweetheart, I promise you we will find parents for you what deserve you ❤
2025-03-10 — MOWGLI ❤ WELCOME UNDER MY WING LIL BOY 🙏. 🙏 DUMPED OR LOST???!!!! on Saturday morning I got a call from one of our ex team members . She told me that there was a young pitbull hiding at the terrace of her husband's restaurant. The boy had no collar and no one ever saw him in that area. I was asked if we could keep him safe because their staff is scared of the breed. Of course there was not much thinking and I immediately sent one of my boys to pick him up and bring to the center. At this point I was 100 % sure he would just stay a few hours with us until we could locate his owner. so well its 2 days later today and after dozens of posts in balis community groups still no one came forward for him. We asked all dog walkers in that area if they ever saw this boy before but as well there we didn't have any luck so far . as more time passes as bigger my worries are that this boy has been dumped. I mean it's 2 days now. If it would be my dog whole Indonesia would know by now that my dog is lost 🥲 I am really not sure what to think but ya we had situations like this in the past, so nothing would surprise me anymore 🤦‍♀️ Today I gave this sweet boy the name MOWGLI. I am still hoping there is a decent person looking for him, but at the other hand what owner could it be if it takes days until he looks for his boy.... Either way MOWGLI is safe with us. I will wait another week and if there is still no news he will be sterilized and put up for adoption 🙏 WHAT EVER HAPPENS MY BOY WE GOT YOU, YOU ARE SAFE WITH US 🙏

2025-04-01 — KING 💔 NEW RESCUE 💔. 💔 THIS IS THE WORST CASE WE SAW IN A LONG TIME KING is a 3 years old Rottweiler with a body weight of just 14 kg. His previous owner literally nearly starved him to death. I have no more words or let's say all I have to say if I get into this story, would get me banned on all my accounts. So I will just focus on our boy... He is so malnourished that it's even difficult for him to simply lift his head, but he is eating what gives me hope. His organs are all intact whats good news as well. King is since rescue on IV because he is as well extremely dehydrated. This poor boy will have a very long way of recover but I know he can do it. I know I can get him to run, shine and smile again... When she got posted after being dumped I had for sure a minimum of 50 people unboxing me but my phone has been switched off . Because I wasn't available and no one else was willing to save her because of her breed, my dear friend and dog behaviorist @rhondalepsch and my star foster mom @olga_rybas_ decided to work together and secure her and immediately bring it to the vet where she has been treated under rhondas program. LALA had to stay at the clinic for over 2 weeks because of several issues and got finally yesterday the green light to leave and come to us ... WELCOME UNDER MY WING MY BEAUTIFUL GIRL
2025-04-19 — MAXI & ELMO 💔 NEW RESCUES. Another sad Bali story... Their owner went back to his country and never returned. MAXI & ELMO have been stranded in there old home and had not where to go. Of course we couldn't leave this 2 sweet boys to their faith and rushed to their rescue before they where kicked out of the villa what they called their home for their entire life. Both boys went already to the clinic for vet care and are now with us. For dogs like MAXI & ELMO it must be so confusing to end up at our center, after spending their days at a real home. My heart is broken for them but all we can do now is giving our best and all our love to them so they understand they are safe with us 🥲 VET UPDATE : hello ibu, we would like to update you about Maxi and Elmo. both already finish surgery. for Elmo we did dental scalling and also soft palate surgery, later he might start coughing due to the wound post surgery on his soft palate. for Maxi, we also did dental scalling and remove 1 of the teeth because has tumor also on that area. we remove the tumor, totally 5 tumor. on his leg, cheek, behind ear, inguinal and in his mouth. for maxi later he will need to remove stitches in 2 week ibu. Another one that does not seem to understand what a commitment is and what the term adoption means. 2025-05-15 — ZION 💔 JUST RESCUED 🥲. 🥲 This sweet lil boy is just another unfortunate soul in Bali that has been discharged like a piece of trash.so well he is my treasure now. ZION has been reported to us already last Friday but when we rushed to the location he was nowhere to be found. It took us 5 days to be able to locate and rescue him. You may all can imagine how happy I am to finally have him save in my arms 🙏 VET REPORT : Male intact, around 10 mo, looks bright and active, body temperature is normal 38.4, gum pink normal, heart rate normal, the eye clear, penis clear, ears has lot of ear wax, has scratch wound, general alopecia and crust. the skin has demodex and has dermathophyta fungal. the back leg seems deformed. the hematology, the red blood cells slightly decrease, the white blood cells and platelet is in a normal range . for the biochemistry result, the albumin a little decreased but not significant, the other parameter is in normal range the blood parasite test is negative. 2025-06-02 — 7 DOGS ABANDONED IN AN EMPTY HOUSE. last week we received an emergency call about 7 dogs that got abandoned by their owner. We realized how desperate this situation is and rushed immediately to rescue them. Let me tell you, I really haven't been prepared for what I was about to discover . When we entered the property one very sweet tied up Pitbull and 6 , completely malnourished 5 months old puppies have been waiting for us. Some of the pups had bloody discharge coming from their nose . All of them had eyes full of discharge. It was clear there was no second to wait and all of them got rushed to the clinic. Where we got the sad news that all 7 are distemper positive. As we couldn't take all 7 we collaborated with other rescues. 2025-06-10 — CHANCE ❤ NEW RESCUE 🙏. 🙏 Same s... different day. This poor 1,5 year old boy has been kept in his metal hell since he was a puppy. Hold as a trophy dog nothing more. No love no attention, just isolation, that's all he knew. It took us 3 weeks ,lots of nerves and patience to get his owners to agree to surrender CHANCE. I had countless sleepless nights and was so angry about the games his owners played that i nearly lost my cool. I had to remind myself it's about CHANCE and not his owners. The goal is to get him out of there no matter what. CHANCE has already been at the clinic for check up,blood test, heartworm + blood parasites check, vaccines and has been sterilized. The good news os he is complete healthy and now already with us. 2025-07-20 — ADOPT SWEET XL BULLY PUPPY BALU ❤. ❤ His foster mom @toneoraini explains below how it is to live with our big gentle 1,5 year old baby BALU 💙 Life with Balu has been nothing short of beautiful. He’s big, gentle, and the goofiest soul you’ll ever meet. Always by my side 💙 even when I just need to pee in peace. He’s incredibly social, loves people, and is always ready for a snack (or ten). His kisses so full of love and trust. Balu is a 55kg living teddy bear with the sweetest eyes and a heart that just wants cuddles. He’s strong, but our walks have been calm and easy. And despite his size, he’s so well-behaved. hardly ever have to say no. He listens, he respects the house, and he never causes trouble, even when left alone. He doesn’t like sleeping in his own bed so of course, he ends up in mine, snoring like a helicopter every night. But honestly, that’s part of the charm. He’s been the best and it breaks our hearts to send him back. The entire family has fallen for him. We wish we could keep him forever, but with one other big boy already, it’s just not sustainable for us right now. This goodbye is heavy but we hope his forever family is out there, ready to give this big baby the love and cuddles he deserves🙏❤
2025-07-21 — TAMMY 💔 NEW RESCUE. our new girl spent her entire life of 8 years in a concrete cage, no attention or love, never experienced a real home. All she knew was a cold concrete floor, her entire world was a 1 m2 cold concrete cage. Let this sink in 💔💔💔 Of course her owners refused to give her up as long she was still healthy, but now visibly damaged it was time to get rid of her. We didn't need to hear this twice and immediately rushed to get her out of her hell. After 8 long years she was finally allowed to leave but to which prize... TAMMY has spondylosis all down her spine what is causing her nerve issues what is effecting her front legs ( you can see this pretty clear in the video) she has as well a tumor at her back and possible metastasis on her lungs. I know her prognosis isn't good to say the least but I decided to still give her a chance. I cannot bare the thought that she never new love , care and happiness and I know we definitely can give her that. We will try to get her legs better, she will get the best diet, supplements , meds for her nerves, acupuncture and I am getting her ankle braces. I am aware about her condition but we need to give it a shot. 2025-09-14 — PANDA, SMOKEY, TIGGA 💔 NEW RESCUES. this 3 lil pocket bullies have been in urgent need to be freed from their tiny cages and we have been ask to take them on. Of course once again it was a no brainer for me and I immediately agreed. They had a very long journey to us and the reporter agreed to organize their transport to freedom. Last Saturday our 3 lil once arrived safe and soundafter a 24 hours car jorney. They needed to decompress for 2 days before we could send them to the clinic for all needed medical care Blood test have been taken, and all other check ups have been done. All 3 have been sterilized and vaccinated and needed as well dental scaling. When PANDA and TIGGA got their surgery Dr Kadek realized that both girls had already 2 Ceasarean with just 2 years old ☹️ TIGGA had as well difficulties breathing so Dr Kadek did as well a soft tissue surgery to increase her quality of life with helping her to breath normally. 🚨 PLEASE HELP PLEASE DONATE 🚨 the tota vet l care of these 3 has been 15,8 MIL RP / 962 USD / 824 EURO and we need urgently support with this in order to safe more life's. 2025-09-16 — TITAN 💔 REST IN LOVE MY BOY 🩶💔. 🩶💔 When a ADOℙTIOℕ ℝETUℝℕ seems more like a ℝESℂUE it's clear we failed 💔💔💔💔 I rescued TITAN around 5,5 years ago and he has been adopted just a few months after. His adopters had an age what made me believe they know what commitment and care means. I couldn't have been more wrong I know now. Not hearing much from them, but always getting some updates when I asked let me have the feeling all is ok.. until I got out of the blue a pretty heartless message about one moths ago telling me basically they don't want him anymore. My response was pretty short, just saying tell me the date I should pick him up. I didn't want to risk they give TITAN to just anyone so I committed to take him back. Little did I know about the reason they probably wanted to get rid of him. But ya we knew immediately when we got him... TITAN was peeing pure blood, none of them have been home when we picked him up. They couldn't care less for sure. Seeing his condition we immediately rushed our boy to the clinic,his condition was critical and we knew he needs help fast. It was as well very clear this wasn't a new issue ,it had been simply ignored,who knows for how long.After several tests, x rays etc etc we found out that he is very anemic, his liver counts where over the roof and there have been tumors on his spleen. Our plan was to stabilize him first and after remove his spleen. After a few days it really seemed he is picking up and our plan is working, but like so often it was the last up before a total collaps. TITAN died in my, arms after fighting for his life for 8 days at the clinic. It took me now nearly 2 weeks to do this post, TITANS story simply broke me. 2025-09-24 — NEW RESCUE TODAY 🚨‼️. 🚨‼️ — meet Pearl Pearl was found wandering the road with a large heavy chain injured, confused, and in need of urgent help this morning outside of a grooming salon (thank you @barkwellbali for finding and helping her). I checked my phone this morning, as @thedogsofbali was tagged, to see this & I instantly sent it to @k_k_balibullyrescue (very loved pitbull rescuer on the island 🏝️🦛) to see if she knew the dog and/ or was already on the way. Within the minute she rang me at my office and we made a plan for this sweet girl. I sent a driver to the salon to safely transport this sweetheart to the vet clinic and waited there to help get her out of the car and into the vets office as stress free as possible. Despite her condition and history, Pearl came right over for a slobbery kiss on the face knowing that she was finally safe. She will only ever know unconditional love from here on out 🤍 ⛓️‍💥 Pearl is currently at Central Vet Kerobokan in Bali, Indonesia and she has a long road to recovery ahead of her. 2025-10-21 — ROXY & LEXIE 🩶💔 RIP LEXIE 💔😭🩶🙏🌈. 💔😭🩶🙏🌈 this is one of the hardest posts I ever had to do and this happening was one of the reasons I needed a break. It took me now 3 weeks to share this, with you and it is still very difficult to even talk about it 💔💔💔 3 weeks ago we lost our precocious senior girl LEXIE on a heart attack and it completely broke me. our 2 senior sisters ROXY & LEXIE spent their entire life of 10 years together. Never left each other's side once. To lose LEXIE through a heart attack left us all completely shocked and heartbroken. It came completely unexpected and hit us all very hard. It's not just about losing our sweet senior girl LEXIE it's as well the worry now about ROXY. She doesn't know life without her sister and is now left all alone in the center and we are very worried about her well being after losing her sister. Life isn't fair sometimes . it's already bad enough to be in a shelter in that age but losing your best friend on top of it is simply too much. We cannot bring LEXIE back but we must now try to find at least ROXY a loving home to ease her pain. I am still struggling to even write this because my heart is absolutely bleeding for these 2 sweet seniors 🙏💔🩶🌈 RIP MY BEAUTIFUL GIRL LEXIE, I PROMISE YOU WE WILL TRY OUR BEST FOR YOUR SISTER ROXY UNTIL YOU MEET AGAIN 😭💔

2025-11-17 — KIARA 💔 welcome back under my Wing lil one 🤬. 🤬 how much I hate to do this kind of posts.post where I have to admit that I failed once again. Posts where I need to tell you that I believed once again in the wrong person. Before I start please understand that 94 % of our adopters are incredible but ya there is this 6 % of people that managed to blind my judgment it seems. Considering that we adopted out 1060 bulls in bali, 6℅ is still a very large nr of dogs what I failed with choosing the wrong people 😞 KIARA has been adopted 5 years ago after the same family adopted JAMIE a year before that ( yes JAMIE is back with us as well but I will do another post on him. The woman that adopted our kids as well decided to become a monkey rescuer and collected 75 monkeys . About 2 weeks ago I got a call from my dear friend @femkedenhaas what is our wildlife rescuer on the island,she informed me that this family decided to return to their country already 1,5 years ago and left all 80 animals( there are another 2 dogs)with their staff. As time passed the funds they sent got smaller and smaller, staff wasn't accordingly paid any longer and the animals started to suffer. Monkeys got fed with cheap dog food and JAMIE & KIARA have been looked away in the backyard with very lil human contact KIARA & JAMIE have been once the center of attention but now they have been forgotten. Our 2 poor kids went through so much stress that their started fighting, what left KIARA with a big wound. When the staff contacted the family they couldn't care less to send her to the vet and it went so far that her deep wound got badly infected and filled with maggots. When I heard all of this we of course went immediately to their rescue 💔 When I saw my girl KIARA i started to cry, she was in horrific condition. Besides her big wound and several smaller ones. the blood test showed she has 2 kinds of blood parasites, chronic fungus skin infection, severe ear infection, her teeth are covered in plague and 1 of her nails is ripped out . After a few days at the clinic our lil sweetheart is now with us at the center and found thank God her smile again 🙏

2025-12-11 — POLAR 💔. 💔 the careless decision of his adopters nearly cost him his life 🤬 POLARS story is a difficult one for me to tell, it took me now 1 week to do this post. One week ago I found out that my dear friend from @luckydogrescuebali rescued a lifeless bulldog. Me knowing that Claudia has 240 dogs under her care I didn't hesitate to contact Claudia asking about the story of the dog she rescued and offered my help.Claudia broke out in tears when I called her, telling me about the heartbreaking condition of the dog and not knowing if he can survive. My next request has been pictures of the dog.. . In the minute I got the first pictures of her rescue I nearly fainted, I had, to sit down, couldn't breath and my heart felt like it would stop beating. The lifeless dog my friend rescued was POLAR, one of my kids 💔 I learned his adopter left bali 4 months ago and gave polar to his staff instead of contacting me. This decision nearly cost POLAR his life. He is already 8 days at the clinic , it didn't look too good at start but our boy is a fighter and has a strong will to live. It's safe to say he will make it but has still a long way to go until he is fully recovered from the neglect he experienced for 4 months. Since yesterday he is starting to try to stand up but unfortunately he is still to weak , he started as well eating again. The vets reckon he needs another 1-2 weeks at the clinic. POLAR has as well kidney stones which caused him to pee pure blood and he will need surgery as soon he is more stable. Every night when it was raining and storms hit bali,I thought about her, sitting in her metal hell without any protection.I can't even count the nights I couldn't sleep,worrying and crying.IEvery Day the last 9 month I was desperate to get her out of her hell. Thinking about how helpless she is,boiling heat or heavy rains, XILA was confined in her cage.I felt so helpless and the situation seemed so hopeless until one day my dear friend @ninaayara contacted me and told me she has the right local friend what is willing to help to free her, a dog lover with influence in the banjar XILA was. After 9 long months there was finally hope and Nina Managed with her contact to get XILA surrendered ❤ I think this day was one of the happiest days for me this year. 2025-12-17 — KOVU 💔 NEW RESCUE. our new boy is just 2,5 years old and has been living 2 years of his life in a sealed cage. Yes you read right his caged couldn't be opened. His food and water had been slipped in under the cage and all this suffering just because he was purchased as a puppy by a family that had zero knowledge about the breed, zero experience and zero training skills. He was bought because he was cute. When KOVU became bigger and more powerful , more challenging he was labeled as aggressive and banned to an iron cage, he wasn't left out for 2 years. Please don't get me wrong, his family aren't bad people, they have a Bali dog and a mini pom that are perfectly happy, free and super loved, but like so often people get these big kids with no idea about how to raise them, train and love them and when the get bigger this beautiful animals pay the prize for their owners lack of knowledge. KOVU has been already at the clinic for all needed vet care and is not recovering at our center, where he will learn to become the best version of himself. Of course we had to help and this morning we rescued her from her living hell. LOU is just 2 years old but her condition is absolutely heart wrenching. Her teeth are so full of Tatar , I didn't see this even in 12 years old dogs, she has a deep wound around her neck from the chain she was on since puppy age, her ears are full of wax , her nails so long it breaks my heart, she is full of ticks and flees, dirty and stinky that my stomach turned, has an UTI and peeing blood, has OA in her right hip and NOW AFTER ALREADY A LONG LIST OF ISSUES, LOU has tumors in her mammary and most need to be removed , what's a very big surgery 😞 our lil new girl is another expensive case and we can't help her without your support. Our vet account is already 1100 USD / 17.700 MIL RP in depth and if we can't get this down LOU cant get what she so urgently needs and deserves. LOU is still very young and can fully recover. It's heartbreaking and devastating to see a baby in that state, a puppy should be happy and chubby but not LAIKA. She is a walking traumatized skeleton 💔 Thanx God it's safe to say that all is now in her past and this lil baby has her entire life already lined up. BAMBI is not even 2 years old but all she experienced so far was unkindness , neglect and abuse. Her previous owners stuck her in a tiny cage as a puppy and left her in there until she was fully grown. Because of it her back legs are deformed and her knee caps are out on both legs. Dr kadek, what's the best orthopedic surgeon in the country ,can fix her but it comes to a high price. He has to straighten out her bones and after get her knee caps back in the right position. I am aware she is a very expensive case but BAMBI is still a baby and deserves a happy, healthy ,pain free life . I attached in her reel the estimated costs for her entire vet care . BAMBI NEEDS : surgery for both legs, x rays pre and after OP, 3 different blood tests, sterilization, vaccines, in total 3 weeks hospitalization, medications etc etc etc... 2026-02-25 — NIX 💔 NEW RESCUE. He is just 2 years old and already no longer wanted by his owners so they obviously decided to dump him. 3 different people alert us about this big sweetheart. He was hiding at a construction side for several months. Thank God the workers were kind and fed him and let him find shelter at their building side . When we got the last report Monday we knew we needed to help him. Yesterday was a horrific day in bali , storms ,none stop heavy rains for 3 days and Bali started flooding again.There was no way we could wait another hour, we needed to get him into safety asap... AND WE DID 🙏 NIX had his vet check ups already, unfortunately he is blood parasites positive and his kidney counts are currently up what for sure comes from a not appropriate diet and not enough clean water to drink. I decided to check him out already today from the clinic to bring him to us. We called her ZOLA 🌚 Her breeders advertised her for free so we knew we had to act quick, before she ended up in a cage as a breeding machine or as a sacrifice 💔 @Loui 🎧👟👜🛩️💭 offered to foster Zola and met us there straight away. Zola has ringworms, so she will need to be isolated for a bit, but we can’t wait for her to explore the world and find her forever home 🥰

She was held on a 30 cm chain, which made it impossible to move, fed just with white rice, no clean water , stored under some stack of bamboo, she had to poo and pee where she slept. No love, no movement, no fresh water, no proper food just fading away. Like so often in cases like this we ask our friends from BAWA to help us to get RAVEN freed from this hell. After 5 days of negotiations the amazing Deta ( BAWA) succeeded and got RAVEN surrendered by her owners. 2026-04-26 — CHAPO 💔 EMERCENCY RESCUE. a case we couldn't ignore This is a French bulldog or let's say what is left of him . CHAPO weighs just 9 kg what's about the half what he should have. Looking at him is simply heartbreaking. I really don't even know what to say. I am completely speechless by his appearance. He already had all his blood work done and it's pretty clear this lil boy has been nearly starved to death. There are no medical signs that could explain why he is just skin and bones. He didn't get fed that's the reality. I was wishing to find an explanation that does not include absolute cruelty but like so often we couldn't find any 💔🤬 We will need to focus first on his weight and immune system before we can start all other treatments. His blood is all messed up currently but all goes back to malnutrition. Besides this our boy has scabies, fungus infection, ear infection, needs dental scaling, vaccines and be neutered.... Despite everything, he was incredibly sweet, just overwhelmed with so much built-up energy and no healthy way to release it. When we tried to move him, it became clear how stressed and overstimulated he was. He was pulling hard on the leash and constantly chewing on it, turning it into a tug of war, just trying to get that energy out. We made the difficult decision to sedate him so we could transport him calmly without causing him more stress. Once we arrived at the vet, the first thing we did was get him a bone. He loved having something to chew on and finally being able to release some of that tension 🐾 The good news is all his tests came back clear 🙏 He will stay at the clinic for a few days to gain weight and strength before being sterilized. The most beautiful part is that as soon as he was out of the cage and had released some of that built-up tension, he showed his true nature. 2026-05-10 — BIGGIE 💔 NEW RESCUE. once again a selfish Foreigner decided to purchase a puppy and left bali just a few months later. BIGGIE was given to a young local kid,this boy is living in a tiny room and has either the space , experience or financial background to care for a big puppy like our new boy. The first thought this boy had was to sell BIGGIE but thanx God his best friends mom is a rescuer that knows me and she ensured that this big 7 months old boy comes to us instead. When she reached out to me in the middle of the night, worried what may happen to this boy and begging me to help there was no second thoughts, I immediately agreed and we took him on to make sure this sweet puppy doesn't end up in some horrific situation 🙏 BIGGIE is now safe at central vet for check ups, bloddests and what else he may needs... 2026-05-13 — BONBON 💔 EMERGENCY RESCUE. neglected and dumped This tiny lil girl is in such horrific condition that it took me 2 days to cope. BONBON has the biggest tumor we saw in a long time. It's basically a third of her body size. I don't even wanna know how long the devil that dumped her watched her suffering. But it's pretty clear it was for a very long time. Her teeth look so bad, many rotten that eating must be painful for her. I literally have no more words.i really don't know what to say as her condition speaks for itself 😞 The only good news here is that everything that's currently wrong with her can be fixed. We need to focus now on her future not her past. Of course in order to help this lil girl we need a lot of help as her recovery comes with a big price. Her estimate costs for everything she needs for a fresh start comes with a big price tag. We need to raise urgently 20 mil rp/ 1200 USD / 1000 EURO for her complete vet care . These highly intelligent and active dogs require proper training, mental stimulation, exercise, and lifelong commitment. But beyond breed, every dog deserves responsible care, stability, and love for their entire life. Neglect is never the solution. If you truly cannot care for your dog, finding them a safer and more suitable home is the responsible choice. 2026-05-23 — 🐕‍🦺🤍 THE MALINOIS RESCUE SERIES (1/3). ) Laika was only 4 months old when she was found chained alone, malnourished, sick, and terrified of people. She developed fear-based aggression because survival was all she knew. But through intensive medical care, rehabilitation, and patience, Laika slowly began to heal — learning how to trust, play, and simply be a puppy again. Today, her story has a beautiful new beginning. Laika now lives in Ujung Kulon National Park, where she has joined our Anti-Poaching Team alongside other rescue dogs. Her journey is a powerful reminder that rescue, commitment, and proper care can truly transform a life. It is also a reminder that Belgian Malinois are highly intelligent and active working dogs that require lifelong responsibility, training, and proper stimulation. Ia mengembangkan perilaku menggigit karena rasa takut, karena bertahan hidup adalah satu-satunya hal yang ia kenal. Namun melalui perawatan medis intensif, rehabilitasi, dan kesabaran, Laika perlahan mulai pulih — belajar percaya, bermain, dan menjadi anak anjing kembali. 2026-06-01 — BLUE 💙 NEEDS YOUR HELP 🙏. 🙏 I decided to check BLUE out of the clinic and bring to us . His ear infection is so severe that it must be our first priority to treat. Unfortunately our vets found a bacterial in hiscears what's most likely antibiotic resistant. We have to try now for 1 month if it's treatable, if not he will need to have the inflected ear canal removed. Because of this possibility and lack of funds we postponed his other needed surgeries so he just needs to go once under the knife. BLUE needs to have infected teeth removed , we aren't sure yet how many exactly, 2 tumors need to removed, he needs to be sterilized and possible his infected ear canal needs to he removed aswell. We raised 300 USD so far for our lil sweetheart what means we still need a minimum of 500 - 600 USD to cover all his surgeries. 🚨 PLEASE HELP PLEASE DONATE 🚨 We are once again in a very difficult situation with a depth of 3000 USD at the clinic. 2026-06-08 — KONA 💔JAX 💔BELLA 💔. 💔 EMERGENCY RESCUE their owner had a deadly motor bike crash and these 3 kids had no one left. His 3 poor souls waited desperate and confused 2 days alone in the house for his return. When we got contacted and learned about their sad story it was clear we needed to act fast and rushed to their rescue .we knew we are their only way out of this heartbreaking situation… None of these kids have been sterilized and Bella started already to be on heat. It has been clear to us if someone else gets their hands on them they will end up most likely as money machines,abused for breeding and caged for life. All 3 have been already at the vet for blood checks and sterilization. Unfortunately KONA got diagnosed with 2 kind of blood parasite and JAX had his kidney and liver counts up because of dehydration. JAX is currently on a renal diet and supplements for his kidneys. 🆘 WE NEED OUR COMMUNITY NOW TO COME TOGETHER TO HELP US TO GET OUR VET ACCOUNT OPENED 🆘 Of course to take in yet another 3 big dogs kicked us straight over the edge financial and as well physically. 2026 — Raven — From a 30 cm chain to freedom. Raven spent her entire life on a 30 cm chain, not able to move or even stand up straight. She was completely neglected, ignored and forgotten. She was desperate to get a real life. (Rottweiler · 3,5 years · Female · 30 kg)

2026 — Raven — From hopeless to happiness. Raven is in our center and is clearly enjoying her new given freedom. She loves to run, play and of course is demanding lots of cuddles. Something she never experienced before. Raven is super sweet. She would do great in an active family. She can as well be added to 1 other dog, if they match of course. Older kids what love to play with her would be a bonus.
2026 — Bambi — From the saddest to the happiest girl. Bambi was put in a tiny cage as a puppy, she was hold is this cage until she couldn't move or stand up inside the cage anymore. 2026 — Blue — The cutest lil potato. Blue is at our center where he is learning to be a dog and what it means to be loved and cared for. He is the sweetest lil boy and deserves the world after all the years what have been stolen from him. Blue would be perfect for a calm home. parents in retirement would suit him well. He is super easy going, playful but as well calm. Blue is a real gem.
2026 — Bambi today. Bambi is at our center. She became the happiest and joyful girl she can be. She absolutely loves to play, cuddles and being silly. It is a joy to watch how happy she is now. Bambi is a very easy and tiny lil girl. She would fit in any home that is filled with love and care.
2026 — Chapo — He is still finding his bounce. Chapo is currently at foster care and still has a long way to go to be fully recovered. Not yet ready for adoption.
2026 — Bonbon — From hopeless and neglected to super spoiled. Our lil girl went after her big surgery straight to the most loving foster home where she is now waiting for her forever home. All she wants to do is cuddle day in and day out. She is the sweetest lil girl anyone can imagine, just to look at her will make you smile. BonBon fits about in every home that is filled with endless love and care.

2026-07-17 — BAXTER 💔NEW RESCUE 🥺. 🥺 he is just 6 month old and all he know is to be isolated far away from humans , in the middle of nowhere.Alone, Ignored , forgotten and neglected. NO PUPPY SHOULD GROW UP LIKE THIS 💔 Thanx god BAXTER has been discovered by a very sweet couple what made holidays in Ceningan. Their heart shattered when they found a cage in the middle of nowhere with a thirsty, scared,hopeless,and hungry puppy inside. Not exactly knowing what to do ,they reached out to us and ask for help. After putting a plan together how to free this lil boy ,it took weeks of negotiations to convince his Owner to surrender BAXTER. Once he finally agreed Anita and her partner took our new boy immediately to the boat to bring him to Bali where we could take him over Please understand that the only reason why we could take on this precious boy ,was because his vet care got completely sponsored. She is simply the sweetest senior girl and shouldn't spend her senior years in a shelter. Yes LEAH is blind, but let me tell you, she navigates perfectly. The only request we would have for her is a loving retirement home without a pool and other dogs. No LEAH isn't aggressive but other dogs can make her insecure and snappy because she can't see them.
