A segment from Channel 4's The Tube, with Jools Holland and Leslie Ash touring the New York clubs just as dance music was becoming its own scene rather than disco's afterlife. It is one of the few pieces of moving footage of these rooms from the period, which matters because the garage lineage - the Loft, the Paradise Garage, the Jersey clubs - is almost entirely undocumented on film.
