Peech Boys - Don't Make Me Wait
1982
Larry Levan's own production with the NYC Peech Boys: dub space, gated drums and a gospel-derived vocal, the first record that sounds like the Paradise Garage rather than like disco. Blues & Soul traces the garage sound itself back to this record and to Boyd Jarvis. Posted here by West End, the label that released it.
