Furie draws Pepe's funeral

Matt Furie's comic showing Pepe laid out in a casket, published by Fantagraphics in Worlds Greatest Cartoonists on May 6th, 2017. CBR, The Mary Sue and Mashable reported that Furie had killed the character off. Seven weeks later he launched a Kickstarter to resurrect him "as a universal symbol for peace, love, and acceptance".
