There are over 100,000 Giant Aldabra Tortoises across the four islands of Aldabra Atoll. More than all the people on Mahé, Praslin and La Digue combined. 🐢🐢🐢 @sey_saltylocs introduces us to some of her favourite quirky residents of Aldabra: 🧛 A vampire tortoise at middle camp who would try to bite anyone cooking 🐾 Tiny tortoises running around on Grand Terre 🅿️ A tortoise “parking system” - queuing for shade in the cool caves of Cinq Cases 🍪 And then there’s Biskwi, one of the oldest tortoises on Aldabra. What would he tell us if he could? This is part of an ongoing series with @sey_saltylocs celebrating all things Aldabra, now focusing on her favourite species that roam in this magical place.
