Almoravids absorb the Taifas

The Almoravid dynasty crosses from the Maghreb and absorbs the disunited Taifa kingdoms (1086-1110). The Andévalo passes to Almoravid rule; Arabic place-names — Aljaraque, Almonaster, the toponym Andévalo itself (from al-Bāwilah) — date from this layer of administration.
