A player's protest video made a day after Jagex launched RunePass, a paid reward track shipped as the main content update for the week. The creator argues that a subscription game should not be layering free-to-play monetisation on top, and says he cancelled his memberships over it. RunePass became one of the sharper flashpoints in RuneScape 3's long microtransaction argument.
