Ravers gather at the foot of a statue on the closed quay, using the plinth as a vantage point. Improvised viewpoints on monuments, walls and bus shelters are a constant of the parade and a recurring headache for the safety planners. The 2008 security concept was tightened after the fatal stabbing at the 2007 edition.
