People are taking to the streets all over Albania, and internationally, to protest their Prime Minister's shady backdoor deal with Jared Kushner, Ivanka Trump, and their billionaire investors. The Prime Minister secretly had environmental protection laws changed in order to sell off Sazan Island, a protected national marine sanctuary, and Vjosa-Narta Delta, sacred coastal wetlands, for billion dollar resorts. Worth noting that Sazan Island was a top-secret Cold War military base, full of bunkers and underground tunnels 🤔 And bulldozers are already destroying the delicate ecosystem in Narta, a vital sanctuary for more than 200 bird species, plus salt-tolerant plants, diverse fish, amphibians, reptiles, wetlands, and pine forest habitats. I just happen to be 10 km from Narta, in Vlore, where I can see Sazan from my balcony.
