A lithograph of daily life at the diggings, printed on blue paper and worked up from a photograph by Fishbourne and Gow of San Francisco. Joseph Britton, later a leading San Francisco lithographer, is credited as the artist. Images of this kind were sold to eastern buyers hungry for scenes of the rush.
