- — A 16th-century depiction of Sazan. Sazan — long known to Venetian and Ottoman mariners guarding the Bay of Vlorë — as drawn in a 16th-century Mediterranean chart. For centuries it was a strategic waypoint at the mouth of the Adriatic long before it became a fortress.

Quello che vediamo accadere però non va nella direzione del diritto europeo, ma anzi schiaccia i tentativi di partecipazione democratica, di attivazione dal basso per la tutela dell’ambiente e del benessere di tutte le persone che vivono oggi in Albania, e di quelle che ci vivranno negli anni a venire. Per questo abbiamo scritto una lettera alla Commissione europea, per far emergere tutti i punti problematici, e per costruire insieme un’adesione che sia al servizio delle persone, passo dopo passo.
