A Roman hull off Mazara del Vallo

Divers recover a Roman-era ship, believed more than 2,000 years old, from about 46 metres of water off Mazara del Vallo in western Sicily, announced in August 2026. Italian authorities called it one of the more important underwater finds of recent years.
