Her 2019 return came during her country's first Eurovision under its new constitutional name: North Macedonia, formalized that February under the Prespa Agreement with Greece. 'Proud' was an English-language empowerment ballad framed as a message to a daughter, and the Tel Aviv staging placed Todevska alone center-stage in simple white lighting, with video projection of women and girls displayed behind her.
