A complete printed scroll of the Vajracchedikā Prajñāpāramitā Sūtra, woodblock-printed on May 11, 868 at the order of Wang Jie "on behalf of his two parents." Discovered in the Mogao Caves at Dunhuang in 1907. Five-and-a-half centuries before Gutenberg, the technology is already mature.
