Forty Years of Data Show the Green Turtles Coming Back

Analysis of nesting records from 1968 to 2008 documented a 500–800% increase in nesting green turtles at Aldabra, to roughly 3,100–5,225 females a year — the second-largest nesting population in the Western Indian Ocean, and one of the clearest demonstrations anywhere that simply stopping the harvest works.
