Burgajet Castle, the family seat

Burgajet Castle in the Mat region was built before 1860 as a fortified rectangular house with two wings around a courtyard. It was the only building in the district with glazed windows and its furnishings were imported from Austria. It was the seat of the Zogolli family and the birthplace of both Xhemal Pasha and his son Zog.
