Death of Leka I

Leka I died of a heart attack on 30 November 2011 at the Mother Teresa Hospital in Tirana. A state funeral was held on 3 December 2011 and he was buried in the royal mausoleum. He had been born in Tirana and died there, having spent almost his whole life abroad.
