KONARE and the exile opposition

After the counter-revolution, Zogu's defeated opponents formed opposition organisations in exile, notably KONARE, the National Revolutionary Committee. The exile opposition supplied the men and motives behind the later plots against him, including the Vienna gunmen. Fan Noli eventually retired from politics and moved to the United States.
