SIF Sets Out to Remove the Rats and Cats

SIF announced its intention to eradicate rats and cats from Aldabra — an operation that would be the largest rodent eradication ever attempted in mangrove forest and among the largest on any tropical island. Rats and cats are the last major reason parts of the atoll cannot hold rails, seabirds or hatchling tortoises.
