Cartoon Network's Foster's Home for Imaginary Friends float rolled down the parade route with its puppet cast singing when the music cut out with a turntable scratch and Rick Astley emerged from the house singing 'Never Gonna Give You Up', rickrolling millions watching live on NBC. Astley later said Cartoon Network approached him and that he was paid a substantial fee, adding: 'I'm honest enough to admit that.'
