Mountain Dew's Dub the Dew contest hijacked

Mountain Dew ran an open naming contest for a green-apple soda with no submission moderation. A 4chan thread flooded the leaderboard with offensive entries, and participants also planted a Rick Astley pop-up on the contest page. Mountain Dew pulled the promotion and apologised, conceding it had 'lost to the Internet'.
