Bergens Tidende's confiscated smuggled wine hoax

On 1 April 1987 the Norwegian newspaper Bergens Tidende reported that Vinmonopolet would distribute 10,000 litres of confiscated smuggled wine. By opening time about 200 people had queued outside the outlet carrying bottles and buckets. It deliberately revived the format of Aftenposten's celebrated 1950 hoax.
