YouTube rickrolls its own front page

For April Fools' Day 2008, YouTube redirected every featured video link on its front page to 'Never Gonna Give You Up'. Reports put the number of users caught at over seven million. It was the first time a major platform deployed the prank against its entire audience, effectively certifying rickrolling as mainstream internet culture.
