Polygoon's South Limburg cave-system hoax

In 1958 the Dutch newsreel producer Polygoon ran an April Fools' item about a newly discovered underground cave system in South Limburg. Journalists travelled from across the country to see the discovery. It is one of the earliest documented Dutch broadcast-media April hoaxes.
