Sorø Lake drained - Folketidende aprilsnar

On 1 April 1960 the Danish regional newspaper Folketidende reported that Sorø Lake had been drained after pranksters removed the plug from the lake bottom. Curious sightseers travelled to Sorø from across the region. The hoax was the work of journalist Holmgaard and photographer Ellen Skovmand, and is among the best known in Danish press history.
