El Mundo Today - Spanish satirical newspaper launched

El Mundo Today launched publicly in January 2009, created by Xavi Puig and Kike García. It adopts the visual style of the Spanish online press while its content is wholly fictitious, which has repeatedly led subjects of its stories to demand removal, unaware the site is satirical. It gained wide coverage after the Colombian news channel NTN24 broadcast some of its invented reporting as fact, even going live to its own Madrid correspondent on the story.
