Twitch extends conduct rules to off-platform swatting

Twitch announced it would act on severe misconduct occurring away from its service where it posed a substantial safety risk, explicitly naming doxxing and swatting. The company retained an outside law firm and expanded its internal investigations team. The policy was widened again in October 2023 to cover encouraging others to swat or doxx.
